The Peter Wentz Farmstead Society invites you to apply for the Albert T. and Elizabeth R. Gamon Scholarship presented by the Peter Wentz Farmstead Society in honor of Albert T. and Elizabeth R. Gamon. This academic award will be available on a one-time only basis to a student who is currently pursuing a degree in Pennsylvania German History, Cultural Studies or Decorative Arts and/or related Museum Studies.

The scholarship is based on your academic record, activities and leadership qualities as presented in this application. Two letters of recommendation from individuals who have worked with you, e.g. a professor, coach or employer are required. In addition, the completed application must be signed by your advisor prior to submission. The required essay and grade transcript are an important part of the application.

The Scholarship Committee will review the applications; awards will be made at their discretion. The Committee's decision is final.

Applications must be filled out completely and legibly. All required documentation must be attached. Applications will be accepted through March 1, 2011.

The amount of the scholarship is $5,000.00 and the check will be made payable to the college or university that the student is attending.
