The Peter Wentz Farmstead Society invites you to apply for the Albert T. and Elizabeth R. Gamon Scholarship. This academic award will be available on a one time only basis to a college student who is currently pursuing a degree in Pennsylvania German History and Cultural Studies or Decorative Arts and /or related museum studies.

The scholarship is based on your academic record, activities and leadership qualities as presented in this application. Two letters of recommendation from individuals who have worked with you, e.g., a professor, coach or employer are required. In addition, the completed application must be signed by your advisor prior to submission. The required essay is an important part of the application and will be evaluated for its quality and content.

The Scholarship Committee will review the applications; awards will be made at their discretion. The Committee's decision is final.

Applications must be filled out completely and legibly. All required documentation must be attached. Applications will be accepted through March 1, 2008.

The scholarship will be available in the amount of $5,000.00. The check will be made payable to the college or university that the student is attending.
