Museum Shop

Our Museum Shop has a handcrafted box loom, warped with linen threads, shuttle and instructions. In the 18th century and early 19th century these looms were used to produce narrow band tapes. Hand woven linen tapes are available in historic patterns for those not inclined to weave.

You will find attractive redware especially the scrafitto plates with German quotations. There are many wooden toys, crafts, and books about life in the 18th century available for children. We sell a limited edition print of the Farmstead by local artist, William Bourne.

Interesting and informative books abound in the Museum Shop. Volumes I and II of the Philadelphia Campaign by Thomas J. McGuire and Don Troiani's Soldiers of the American Revolution, along with an assortment of Eric Sloane books are available. For the chef, we are proud to offer our own Peter Wentz Cookbook, a compilation of old and new recipes gathered from Society members.

Our shop managers spend countless hours acquiring many of the unique items available for sale and we are proud of the fact that approximately ninety percent of the items in the shop are made in the U.S.A.

We accept Visa and MasterCard and certain items, such as the box loom and prints, can be mailed upon request.
